The recently aired final episodes of Avatar were truly brilliant. Words like that get tossed around a lot amongst fans on Livejournal, but to delve into specifics would be entirely uncouth of me; you might as well just watch. As a fan, I feel so lucky to have been able to enjoy something so incredibly fulfilling.

It's still so weird to think that we're now living in a post-Avatar world, though, isn't it?

Ugggh going slowly insaaaaane

Looking forward to:

- mint-green-colored iPod (ftw)
- new bedding
- the spoils of another journey to Book Off (ftw as well)

Why hello, SOUL'D OUT collection & various Shiina Ringo albums (oh my God, I thought $25-30 for one CD was absolutely criminal until I found the same album on Amazon for $55 (what the fuck, Japan)).

Am taking 3 - 4 days off "for Comicon." Because I've had like one day off in three weeks, seriously, save the day I got sick, lost my keys and spent three hours on the stairs, waiting for incompetent landladies to bring a master key.

also

I am making Monster icons.

They look the same as all my other icons.

GOOD NIGHT.

Thought it was awesome that my reward for the longest day I've had at work in ages was one of our last customers, whose shirt read, I kid you not, "Mother's Are Special People." Very special, apparently.

Neglecting graphics journal out of sheer laziness.
Owning all of Uzumaki is Beautiful Feeling. This manga is seriously freaking my shit out though.

Am thinking this would look way cooler had I chosen to vector the girl but I already know that I am not that cool, ugh.

Urasawa really likes to write characters that are probably rape victims; what else is new.
So 20th Century Boys & 21st Century Boys = basically the best manga I have ever touched. I'm hesitant to follow it with Naruto as I'd planned to do. I'm thinking the only things suitable to read, now, are more Urasawa and the other Murakami novels I've been planning to read... eventually.

So yeah, this means I'm probably just going to sit down and read Monster, after having just watched the series this year.

This I know: Fukubei is freakin' hot.

Wow. I was not prepared for 20th Century Boys at all.

As with Monster, I can't recommend it highly enough. I understand, however, that its length (22 volumes) will discourage pretty much everybody.

If interested, scanslations can be found here.

Attn: catty Hispanic bitches, you may find your negative side-comments oh-so-discreet, but "stupido" is a word that never fails to translate.
